Poker Night Live Comes to Canada
A new deal signed between River Belle Partners and Poker Night Live Canada will see a new poker show hit Canadian television screens in the near future. CGTV, a cable channel for gaming enthusiasts, will screen daily broadcasts of poker tournaments sponsored by River Belle Partners.
River Belle Partners is the fastest-growing area of Belle Rock Entertainment, a group owned by media firm Carmen Media. The Group’s CEO Tim Johnson has spoken out enthusiastically about the new deal. "Poker Night Live will give online players the rare opportunity to showcase their poker skills on live television," he said. "River Belle is the ultimate entertainment portal and we are very excited to share it with the Canadian market." The format of the show will be based on the successful UK version, Poker Night Live. Online players will participate around a virtual poker table with commentary provided. The show is aimed at improving the viewers’ poker skills. An extra feature which can be accessed through the River Belle website will permit Canadian players to try their luck on the “TV Tables”.
News of the deal has strengthened River Belle’s recent launch of its new online poker room. Poker fans can find a range of poker games on the site, including 5-Card Stud Poker, Omaha Hi/Low and Texas Hold'em. Table limits vary per game and players are also able to play privately. Experienced players can play multiple tables, pre-select seats at online poker tournaments and run search facilities to find their favorite table or player. For the less experienced, River Bell operates a free poker skill to help boost the skills of its members.
The online casino is based in Gibraltar and is part of the Prima Poker Network. Powered by Microgaming software, River Belle Poker offers gambling services to thousands of players each day and operates under a strict code of fair play.
