Tribeca Network Farewells U.S Gambling Market
Tribeca Tables, the gambling network purchased by online software developer Playtech last year, has banned U.S players from wagering at the group's sites. As a result, sites operating in the U.S via Tribeca's network have found themselves forced to reconsider their relationship with the group and to investigate new ways of operating in the American market.
However, several sites have announced plans to join other poker networks that will continue to accept wagers from American gambling fans despite last year's anti-gambling legislation approved by Congress. Poker Host has informed fans that it will leave Tribeca to join the Microgaming Poker Network.
The news was confirmed by a Poker Host spokesperson who told media “We at Poker Host will still be accepting U.S players and therefore we will move to a new network, Prima/Poker Microgaming.”
Poker Host will join 40 other online gambling sites at the Microgaming Poker Network. The group accepts wagers from all American players located outside Washington, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Oregon, Wisconsin, Nevada, Indiana, New Jersey, South Dakota and New York.
