China and Portugal signed an agreement 1987, making Macau a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 1999.

Macau enjoys a high degree of autonomy in all matters except foreign and defense affairs. After opening up its locally controlled casino industry to foreign competition in 2001, the territory attracted tens of billions of dollars in foreign investment that helped transform it into the world's largest gaming center.

The congress will again be hosted at the beautiful Venetian-Macao-Resort-Hotel, with large numbers of delegates from the Americas and Europe looking for opportunities in the region. This includes a large number from Asia, highlighting that the online gambling industry has established itself in the region. In 2006, Macau's gaming revenue surpassed that of the Las Vegas strip.
Macau has an excellent infrastructure, making traveling to and around Macau quick and simple. Taking in all of the latest technology and innovation may prove to be more difficult to do in the three day event.

The list of confirmed speakers at the event is long and impressive with the likes of Matti Zinder, CEO of Spin3, and  Dennis Valdes President and PhilWeb just to name a few. The AiG show is already sold out, telling us that the online gambling industry is making its move into the Asian market with enthusiasm.

All the major players in the online gambling business will be present and promising to make AiG something extra special in a sea of conferences and expos related to online gambling.
