Budget airline Flybe is the latest airline to add gambling to its list of onboard services. The move, which will compete with Ryanair's gambling services, will provide customers with new online gambling services in partnership with Finnish gaming operators PAF Group.
Roulette and poker fans will be able to access their favorite games through Flybe's website. Licensing will be provided by PAF Group, which will also oversea the operational aspects of venture.
The decision to offer gambling services is part of an aggressive new marketing strategy promoting the Flybe brand. The firm has recently developed a flower delivery service and a new initiative branded as Flybe Cruise, which gives customers the opportunity to save on cruises with the Oriana and QE2. Future plans include a home delivery duty free service provided to  VIP customers.

Flybe's Director of Marketing, Simon Lilley, announced the deal with PAF Group to media this week. “It is an example of Flybe's continued efforts to build and improve our customer offering, through innovative partnerships with third parties,” Lilley said. "We are confident that our customers will enjoy and benefit from the offer of e-gaming entertainment via the Flybe website and expect other airlines to follow suit with similar deals."
Flybe will be hoping that this latest initiative will rival the success of its rival Ryanair. A deal between Jackpotjoy.com and Ryanair last year was responsible for launching the budget airline's own online gambling site.
