New Executives Line Up at Online Gambling Firms
Media this week have been buzzing given the major changes that have occurred at three of the globe's most popular online gambling firms. Ladbrokes, ATE and PokerStars have all welcomed new members to their executive teams in an effort to revamp existing services.
A statement from British gambling group Ladbrokes introduced Brian Wallace as Rosemary Thorne's replacement. Wallace takes over the role immediately as group finance director, leaving Thorne free to pursue other business interests. Wallace is a former deputy chief executive and group finance director of the Hilton Group.
Meanwhile, Clarion ATE has announced the appointment of its new marketing manager responsible for the firm's b2b portfolio which includes AMUSE 2008 and The Betting Show. 28-year-old Charlotte Skinner has previously held marketing positions for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Churchill Insurance and the Royal Automobile Club (RAC). Skinner will also take on direct responsibility for ATE's London shows ICE, ATEI and ICEi.
Finally, PokerStars has welcomed former Ongame employee Edward Ihre to its executive board. Ihre will take up the position of Director of Partner's and Affiliates with responsibility for building new growth opportunities. Ihre told media that he looks forward to beginning his role with PokerStars, adding that "it's an exciting time to be working with such a well regarded and progressive company."
