Paddy Power is one gambling firm barely feeling the effects of recent U.S. Anti-gambling legislation. The Irish bookmaker today announced its full year results for 2006, showing a 31 percent increase in revenues to nearly 1.8 billion Euro.

Among the highlights of the report was a 64 percent increase in group gross win to 219 million Euro and a 51 percent increase in operating profit to 45.4 million Euro. The before tax profit rose to 47.6 Euro, an increase of 52 percent. Online gross wine figures rose 57 percent to 67.4 Euro while online operating profits came in 23.4 million, an increase of 38 percent.

Paddy Power's statement concluded that its online activities have boosted business substantially, making the group's website the third most frequently visited online sportsbook in the United Kingdom.
