CryptoLogic, the Dublin-based turnkey provider and gambling software developer has announced the appointment of a new member to its board of directors. Stephen Freedhoff is no stranger to the company, having previously been chairman of the audit committee.

Freedhoff, a chartered accountant and certified financial planner, will bring more than 30 years’ experience as a partner at one of Canada’s largest accounting firms to CryptoLogic's top management. He will assume the independent director position previously held by Brian Hadfield, who last week was appointed president and CEO of CryptoLogic.

In a statement, Bob Stikeman, CryptoLogic’s chairman said, “Stephen Freedhoff will help provide both insight and oversight as CryptoLogic pursues its strategy of global growth. At the same time he will ensure accountability and value for our shareholders.”
