iPoker Tournament Winner Takes Home $434,000
This week’s iPoker network's $2 million guaranteed online poker tournament produced major six figure rewards for the top five finishers. The winner's purse, a fat and healthy $434,000 went to "lekimmd."
The buy-ins of 1,380 enthusiastic players boosted the guaranteed prize-pool of $2 million by a further $70,000 in the competition, which lasted for 14 hours. The network was delighted with the response to the tournament and is now planning a string of $2 million guaranteed events.
“What a great tournament!” remarked an observer. This week's tourney produced major payouts for the top five players around the final table. Second placed "sigge79" collected $227,700; third finisher "dypwhuer" pocketed $165,600 and fourth placed "florin 76" took home $124,200. "fishface1" collected the last of the six figure payouts for his fifth placing at $103,500. Even the first elimination from the nine seat final table took home $28,980.
Titan Poker Manager, Robin Steele said, "The $2 Million tournament generated amazing interest among our players who competed for months for a chance to make it to the money. Now our players have set their sights on the higher prize pool available at the upcoming ECOOP II tournaments which are scheduled for May.
