Regulars on the poker circuit were on the edges of their seats in the Atlantic City World Series of Poker Circuit title match. The top prize of $488,828 was awarded to jewelery store owner Danny Yousefzadeh who won the coveted title after a three hour battle with opponent John McMahon.
McMahon made the final playing in his first ever Atlantic City tournament and just lost to the 40-year-old New Yorker. Yousefzadeh afterwards praised his opponent for the exciting match held at Caesars Casino, referring to his unpredictable playing style.
For this troubles, McMahon received a check for $268 858 and a valuable experience playing in the final. The remaining four top players also received checks for six figure sums.
