888/Casava has this week announced the appointment of Gigi Levy to the position of Chief Operations Officer. Levy, who commences his new role in June, has extensive experience in the communications industry and has previously held management positions at Amdocs. After a distinguished career with the software and services company, Levy was made president of the Western Europe, Central and Latin America Business Units.
News of Levy’s appointment followed strong criticism of the online casino firm’s affiliate program. A respected industry body made public allegations of unethical and underhand tactics used by some of 888’s affiliates such as spamming to create business.
