According to British media reports, UK newspaper The Guardian has decided to launch a range of skill games on its website. In a partnership with software developer Game Account, the British daily will offer its users ten classic real-money multiplayer games and tournaments.
 Kevin Dale, chief executive officer for Game Account, says that demand for online skill gaming by well-known consumer brands is on the increase. ”The Guardian deal is another milestone for Game Account,” Dale announced. “I am absolutely confident that our partnership with The Guardian will prove to be a long and successful one, with customer choice and total satisfaction clearly the number one priority.”
Game Account’s sentiments were echoed by Annie Wilson, The Guardian’s Online Partnerships Manager. “We are excited to be adding skill gaming to our online portfolio,” Wilson said. “P2P games offer our readers a competitive and engaging gaming alternative that enhances our existing games and betting offering.”
Game Account has an established presence in the gaming industry and its online skill games allow players to register and play for real money or simply for enjoyment. Some of the games players can expect to find on The Guardian’s site are backgammon and gin rummy, as well as tournament versions of mah jong and blackjack. Solitaire and other card games will also be available. Players can experience a variety of cutting edge features on the site, including the ability to view the moves of their opponents in real-time and the ability to use messenger and chat services online. 
By partnering with Game Account, The Guardian joins other well known players in the gaming industry including Paddy Power, Sporting Bet, Wanadoo and Sky Bet.
