Strategic Partnership Brings Wireless Gaming to Jamaica
Gambling fans in the Caribbean could soon be enjoying wireless gambling thanks to a new partnership between wireless gambling developer Diamond I Inc and Viking Productions, a marketing and promotions firm based in Jamaica.
Diamond I has developed a new hand-held Wi-Fi based gaming system for use by land-based resorts and casinos, and is hoping to capitalize on recent decisions by Nevada legislators to regulate in favor of the new technology.
The state of Nevada has recently authorized the use of mobile gaming technology authorizing the use of devices in public areas in casinos throughout Nevada. The Palms Resort and Casino has agreed to develop a working relationship with Diamond I and will introduce its gaming technology into the resort if the gaming firm continues to adhere to certain standards. In addition, Diamond I has also entered preliminary discussions with dog and horse racing facilities as well as with cruise ship companies. Diamond I’s chief executive, David Loflin, announced the firm’s new business relationship with Viking. "We are pleased to have formed this business relationship with Viking," he said. "We believe our video gaming products, including our wireless, hand-held WifiCasino GS, will have great appeal on the Island".
