Poker players and fans are preparing for an action-packed weekend ahead. Both the World Poker Tour's Grand Prix de Paris and Betfair's Masters of Europe events kick off in Paris and London this weekend with millions in prize money up for grabs.

Nine final players will battle it out at the World Poker Tour's Grand Prix de Paris this weekend to compete for the 422,560 on offer. The survivors have been whittled down from a large starting line up on May 6. Unfortunately for poker fans, this year's final will not be televised due to intervention by French legal authorities.
The final table has Will Ma leading the chip count with 610,000, in front of rivals Ram Vaswani with 413,000 and Jeffrey Lisandro with 490,000. Finishing off the pack is Jeff Wallace with 103,000.

The Betfair.com Masters of Europe in London is offering a top prize of $300,000. Some of the best players from the Aussie Millions, the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour, the Asian Poker Tour and the European Poker Tour will compete in 36 player tournament to be televised live this weekend.
