Bodog Announces Sponsors and Speakers for Annual Bash
CEO Calvin Ayre has this week announced the names of prominent players in the online casino industry preparing to join Magic Johnson as speakers at Bodog’s annual online gaming conference. The speakers named by Ayre include Karen Leland, author of “Customer Service for Dummies”, Ronn Torossian, the president and chief executive of 5W Public Relations, Erik Hauser, the founder of Swivel Media, Mike Faith, Headset’s com CEO, Chris Treneman, Managing Director at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and Alistair Assheton of VIP Management Services. In addition to speakers, Ayre also announced the conference will be supported by prominent sponsoring firms in the industry. Six new panels are being planned to address some of the most pertinent issues facing the online gaming industry today, such as marketing, financing and customer service. Among the blue-chip sponsors of the conference are FutureBet, Chalk, and Sports Direct. The Online Wire features as Gold Sponsors for the event.
According to Ayre, marketing is the differentiator in an increasingly competitive online gambling market, and the fact that the Bodog conference focuses heavily on marketing issues has ensured the event will be a success. “The well-attended conferences in online gaming are now marketing-focused - and we did it first,” says Ayre. “Because of that, the Bodog Conference continues to set attendance records for an online industry event. The strong support we are seeing from our peers in the industry is a testament to the continued growth of online gaming in general. We are an industry that has learned the benefits of coming together and working toward common goals.” Scheduled for July 23-35, 2006, at the Wynn Las Vegas, the third annual Bodog.com Marketing Conference is centred around the theme of "Ignite Your Online Gaming Business." The event is expected to attract thousands of delegates in the $13-billion online gaming industry.
