Roger Withers, currently non executive director at Fire One and chairman of gaming software firm Playtech, has just been appointed non executive director at Games Media. The skill gaming firm’s Roy Howell announced Withers’ new position, saying “I am delighted that Roger has agreed to join the team here at Games Media. His primary brief is to broaden our international presence.”
Howell went on to say that Games Media has expanded its resources and sales dramatically over the last twelve months. “Our shift to digital games and entertainment is gathering pace ahead of schedule and our drive for export revenue streams will accelerate with Roger’s support” he said.

Games Media comprises a conglomerate of gaming firms: Games Multi Media, Channel1 Games, Global Games, and Voodoo Games. Each separate company has its own expertise in designing, developing and publishing pay-to-play games and producing content for the entertainment world. Games Media was founded in by Andrew Ludlow and Roy Howell in April 2003 after its successful acquisition of AWP and Global Games. The firm now has two business centers located in the England’s South East and in the Midlands.
The firm’s new non executive director Roger Withers has commented on his appointment, praising Games Media for being “a very vibrant and forward-thinking company. I am pleased to be joining at this stage of their development.”
