New Boss for Boss Media
Johan Berg caused ripples in the online gambling industry following his surprise departure from Boss Media two months ago. Today the online gambling software firm announced Berg's replacement. Michael Hallen, a 43-year-old ex-president of Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) is the new encumbent, replacing Markus Holm, who temporarily took on the role following Berg's resignation. The Swedish firm's news was announced by chairman Meg Tiveus. Hallen brings a wealth of experience to his role of CEO and President following 15 years with IFS, during which time he single-handedly turned the fortunes of the ailing software firm around. Hallen worked in product development and marketing before his presidency at IFS, along with serving on the board of several other software firms. Hallen will take up the reins at Boss Media on July 1st, Tiveus told media. "The Board of Directors is delighted at having recruited Michael who, based on his experience of both software development and international operations, will further strengthen Boss Media's strategic focus on becoming a complete supplier of platforms for digitally distributed game-based entertainment for international customers in the gaming industry," Tivéus said.
