Orbis Opens Doors to BetFair System
Declaring that its deal with sports betting firm Betfair is about to “revolutionize the sports betting industry” Orbis, a British subsidiary of the NDS group, has announced that its major clients will be able to interact with the Betfair platform through a special data feed. an exclusive deal with betting exchange Betfair to offer a brand new service that it claims will "revolutionize the sports betting industry."
The firm boasts some of the largest gaming firms in the world on its client list; among them, Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, Paddy Power and Littlewoods. The new deal between Orbis and Betfair will allow clients using the Orbis OpenBet platform to offer more competitive prices to their members, along with access to the entire range of Betfair’s gambling events.
The deal is being hailed as a landmark in the online gaming industry. Orbis’ system is used by some of the world’s leading bookmakers and offers a complete gaming solution. Customers can use multiple channels to place their bets using just one user account.
The deal was announced by Orbis’ managing director, David Loveday, who referred to it as a “truly individual partnership. Our collaboration with Betfair will permit Orbis OpenBet customers to benefit from a ground breaking new service,” he said. “This deal minimizes risk for operators, with the ability to offer more competitive prices delivered via the Betfair Exchange.”
