Season 5 Gaming Joins Skill Gaming Market
According to Season 5 Gaming’s director Karen McDade, the company’s new skill gaming platform focuses on “player interaction and community.” The London-based firm is one of the industry’s newcomers and its new platform allows third party game developers to create new games while also adding existing titles to Season 5’s gaming platform. Although a new industry, skill-based gaming is becoming more popular with traditional casino fans and is anticipated to experience strong growth in the coming years.
McDade says Season 5 Gaming’s platform offers fans the next level in skill gaming. “First generation games were simple online single-player games that offered players little sense of achievement or challenge,” she says. “Second generation games are a hybrid of the previous generation integrating more intense use of html based gambling systems on the market. Most of these systems are developed in Java or Flash and are subject to limitations, incompatibilities with client hardware and security issues.” In comparison, says McDade, Season 5 Gaming’s third generation skill gaming platform provides a scalable network of gaming services with a downloadable client that can be easily customized. “Our platform also provides players with everything they would expect from a skill gaming system such as dynamic player ranking, quick and easy access to engaging games, a powerful community focus and multiplayer tournaments,” she says. In the previous month the company released two new games, Poker Solitaire and Gin Rummy, which join Ship Battle, Chess and Acromania. The games were introduced after a six month Beta testing phase and are available for players to play for free or to wager on.
