PartyGaming has found what it was looking for. The much sought after sportsbook has been added to their holdings. Although it has been talked about for some time, the gambling group finally that they have purchased Gamebookers and have added to its many sites. they made the deal with Gamebookers owner, Trident Gaming, for a cool GBP 69 million. Trident Gaming is located on the Isle of Man.

According to Mitch Garber, the CEO of PartyGaming, the sportsbook Gamebookers provides online sports wagering and currently has 50,000 active accounts spreading over 140 countries. Garber also said that this acquisition forms a part of the company’s diversification strategy that is both people and geographic based. He also emphasized however, that Gamebookers will not accept wages from clientele living in the United States.

Because of its size and diversity, there are a strong potential for cross-marketing as a result of the deal, making Gamebookers the appropriate choice for involving other Party Gaming activities. For example, the group is nwn for it ownership of such gaming sites as EmpirePoker and PartyPoker and EmpirePoker. The site offers various online casinos also and playing backgammon for money.

Although the company derives almost three-quarters of its revenues from clients who are residents of the United States, it has been targeting clientele in other geographic locations such as Europe and Asia. They are doing this with the attempt of reducing a dependency on American business as well as the riskiness linked to doing business in the United States, both politically and legally in the United States today.

PatyGamers see their acquisition of Gamebookers is being an important and necessary step for diversifying Partygaming's business both with regard to product and geographic view. Company CEO Garber says that he sees sports betting as forming a much needed addition to their overall gaming platform, providing opportunities for cross-selling. They are however,, concentrated on their customers outside of the the United States.
