Big names scheduled to play in Fifty Casino competition
UK poker fans have yet more exciting non-stop poker action to anticipate with the announcement that a new show is planned for 2007. The Poker Channel, now known as All In Sports, have developed "Million Dollar Cash Game", which has already secured the attendance of some of the world’s most successful and well-known poker professionals. According to All In Sports’ Head of Programming, the new show will be “a hugely exciting event featuring the biggest names in world poker and guaranteed thrilling viewing. With millions of dollars being staked, this is the first high-stakes cash game to be produced and televised in Europe, promising something new for poker fans,” said James Hopkins. The competition is scheduled to take place at the Fifty Casino in London on September 12 and will be aired in January 2007 on Sky Sports. Fans can also see the show on the All In Sports channel later in the year in May.
Attendees will pay a minimum of $100,000 to participate. Professionals such as Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and Howard Lederer will lend their names to the event. Others expected to attend include Jennifer Harman, Erik Lindgren, John Juanda, Mike Matusow, Tony Guoga, Chris Ferguson, and Marc Goodwin.
