Owing to the popularity of last year’s event, this year’s 888.com UK Poker Open tournament will be broadcast every night at 11 pm on Challenge TV.

For those players still seeking sponsored places in this year’s event, 888.com still has some to give away via several qualifying satellite tournaments. Players can compete in the tournaments every Sunday for a chance to earn a place in the main event, which commences on September 5 in Maidstone, England.

Over $500,000 is up for grabs in this year’s tournament, which has been described by 888 as “one of the most high-action tournaments in Europe.” Mike Herea, manager of the gaming firm’s promotions department, added “In the U.K. Open our online poker players will have the opportunity to play real live high-class poker and meet great poker pros.”

Players keen to earn a place in the event can do so for a small fee of $100 plus buy-in of $5. The last qualifying round for the UK Poker Open will be held on September 17, with the grand final of the tournament itself scheduled for October 8.
