Californian Kelly Griggs is understandably proud of her latest poker achievement. The mother of two is the latest winner of the Ladies Poker Party, otherwise known as the Bicycle Casino’s Ladies Event. Griggs emerged top from a starting field of 419 players and will appear again in the World Poker Tour’s Ladies Night IV at the end of the month. She made her way into the tournament by winning a single table event over satellite.

This year’s Ladies Poker Party tournament donated ten percent of the total prize pool to breast cancer foundations. The charity is near to Griggs’ own heart as she herself is a four year survivor of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Her aunt is currently battling breast cancer. Upon her win, Griggs decided to donate $2500 of her own winnings to the breast cancer foundation.

Griggs will go up against defending champion Jennifer Tilly in the World Poker Tour's Ladies Night IV. She will also be rubbing shoulders with some of the best known female poker stars in the world today, including Vanessa Rousso, Anahit Galajian and JJ Liu.
