Newhouse Wins World Poker Tour Bogota Poker Open
Mark Newhouse is this year’s winner of the World Poker Tour Bogota Poker Open. The 21-year-old beat off stiff competition from the likes of David Sklansky, Chris McCormack, Blaise Ingoglia and Anthony Argila to win the grand prize of $1.5 million. Newhouse also won a $25,000 buy-in to the World Poker Tour Championships to be held later in the year.
The final table saw Newhouse face off against favorite Chris McCormack, who held the chip advantage. However, Newhouse managed to claw his way back and soon passed McCormack’s lead, before finishing his opponent off by producing a full house.
McCormack in second place received $802 895, while Blaise Ingoglia in sixth place took home $261 901.
