FireOne Group, one of the largest financial transaction merchants responsible for processing payments to the online casino industry, today announced plans to scrap its services.  The firm’s parent company Optimal made the announcement in the wake of new legislation approved by U.S. Congress aimed at banning all financial transactions to online gambling websites.

In its statement, Optimal reassured FireOne Group customers that the firm will continue to carry out financial transaction processing to online gambling operators from non-U.S. customers, which are unaffected by the Act.
