Further Attempt To Take Advantage Of Position Of Horseracing With Respect To United States Laws
According to Newsday, Mobil phone bettors can now look forward to the possibility of betting on horses, a source of revenues yet to be tapped. mWager is being introduced through the efforts of the New York Racing Association so as to change the present situation and allow mobil phone operators the opportunity to begin use of a new application that will promote Windows Mobile users to make their racing bets over their cellphones.
The technical nature of this move will have to be first approved by the state Racing and Wagering Board however. But assuming success in this new venture, mobil phone users will be able to access information with regard to the horse they wish to bet on, along with its owner, its trainer and lastly, the odds that it will win. A PIN number will be reward as a protection and to safeguard for anyone who may have their handset stolen.
mWager predicts that if this attempt is approved there will be other similar services being made available in the future for other markets.
