In Montreal, at the Palain develop Congres, next year on June the third through the fifth, the 10th Annual Global i-Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE) will be held.  

They have chosen a theme for the ’08 event and it is "Position Yourself."

Schneider added that during its rather short twelve-year history it has experienced a series of ups and downs but all in all is here for the long run manage that the future for gaming is very positive.  She notes that the gaming industry has been seeking clarity for several years and is now gaining clarity throughout the world on the various continents.  Having come to understand the rules there are now attempts to find creative and lucrative ways to work within their boundaries.

This event which has been established as being the most international for this growing industry continues to bring attendees from more than 45 countries.  Montréal has been the site for this event now for a period of several years.  Online gaming interests in addition to brick and mortar gaming companies serving casinos, racing, sports betting, as well as lottery operations over several continents continue come in order to determine what might be available to them.  The differences between the interests of terrestrial or land based gaming interests and internet gaming interests continue to run together, and in its tenth year, the programming being planned for this event reflects that coming together.
