Hot on the heels of its acquisition of Norwegian firm Playshare Holdings, the Action Poker Network has kicked off the “$30,000 U.S. Poker Experience.”

The event is being billed by the network as “a tournament series prototypical of the American Dream, with a chance to take 11 cents and turn it into $3.2 million at the World Poker Tour World Championship in Las Vegas.” The competition commences with qualifying rounds at the Action Poker Network's member sites, Action Poker.com, Poker in Canada.com and Tiger Gaming.com. The buy-ins to the qualifiers start from as little as just 11 cents and will continue until April Fool's Day 2007.

The main prize poker fans will be keen to get their hands on in the Action Poker Network's tournament is the offer of a seat worth $25, 000 to the WPT World Championship starting on April 21, 2007. Accommodation for the duration of the event at the Bellagio Hotel is also part of the prize deal, along with a Dodge Viper sports car.

The lucky winner will also have the chance to compete for the WPT World Championship prize pool expected to reach $13 million next year. Approximately $3.2 million dollars will go to the winner of the event who will need to beat 499 other players to win the coveted title.
